Coach Naqoy is a prolific author whose works are widely read by those rising from adversity to become exceptional individuals.
The book One Minute Awareness was published in 2012 and became a bestseller at national events such as the Kompas Gramedia Fair and the Islamic Book Fair; it was even reviewed in national newspapers. One Minute Awareness serves as a gateway to becoming an above-average person. In the preface, Naqoy writes that “Pressure comes in two forms: first, giving in to defeat, and second, rising to the surface to find the light.” For those who give in to defeat and are ultimately crushed by change, it is “One Minute Nonsense”; while those who find a leap forward—even the light of life—are those who discover “One Minute Awareness.”

PRESSURE IS THE BEST DRIVER OF CHANGE

In the book *One Minute Awareness*, it is revealed that the secret to above-average success lies in pressure, problems, trials, and burdens. Do not ask God to spare you from problems, but ask God to grant you a strong spirit and a champion’s mindset so that you do not easily give up when faced with problems, because problems are not enemies—on the contrary, they are friends that make us strong, healthy, and the best. The book *One Minute Awareness* explains that within a hard, rugged rock lies a beautiful statue. So do not complain or get angry when you are at your lowest point, because that is where you are actually learning to rise above the average. Even the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) outlined this in his hadith: “True wealth is not material possessions but rather a rich heart and a rich soul.”

In the opening section of this book, a concept called SYUTENIK is introduced: Be Grateful, Accept, and Enjoy. Problems or trials will not feel pleasant if we are not grateful for them at all. In this training, leaders and managers are taught how to become individuals who possess the secret of “Unconditional Happiness”—happiness without conditions. Some might ask how one can be happy when in a difficult or uncomfortable situation, yet alumni of The7Awareness share testimonials that the magnetism of prosperity begins with the power of gratitude. In this book, those who practice gratitude are categorized into three groups: those who can be grateful, those who are skilled at being grateful, and those who are collectors of gratitude.
The lowest level of gratitude is being able to be grateful, meaning people who are grateful when there is a benefit or advantage for themselves, such as when their child passes the civil service exam, and they hold a celebration with their immediate family as an expression of their happiness. Meanwhile, the second level—those who are skilled at gratitude—are people who still express gratitude even when there is no personal benefit, but rather when people they know are experiencing happiness. For example, a neighbor who is grateful because her neighbor’s husband received a promotion, not out of anger or envy, but because she shares in their joy. The third type is the “collector of gratitude,” much like the story of Prophet Ayyub (AS), who continued to express gratitude even in the midst of crises and disappointments.
